The air is cold and the village is still, but on Halloween all minds are a fire with what could be.

Let your fires burn brightly for one and all to enjoy.

Back from Hell,

Well this Holiday was not that bad, but paradise it was not. I visited and toured my old Ramada... It has not changed which is both sad and comforting. It is good that things change.

I did miss seeing m'lady Isabella. Our schedules just did not match up this time. My heart is heavy for all my friends and family that remain. ...but it is good to be home.

Holiday Update:

While camping would be a great adventure, my traveling companion requires more refined accommodations than canvas and sticks. It does appear that we will be taking lodging from one of my fellow Innkeeps while in the unclaimed lands to the south.

What does an Innkeep do on holiday? We camp. Next week I will be off to the unclaimed lands to the south for some much needed rest. Camping is the best form of rest. No villagers or pilgrims to task your time. The wild holds only peace and solitude. Yet it is still close enough I may visit friends and family at my will...not theirs.

I so look forward to posting many images upon my return.

The Inn is closed this Week.

Six more days until holiday! The long trip down to the unclaimed lands is not wonderful. The roads are many and varied. The people unclean and uncivilized. HOME is home no matter what is in between.

It is official!

I have received my SCA membership card. And last night we had three Knights at the shires' weekly fighter practice. Good company, good spectacle, good times... what more can you ask for?

The Day was well spent, yesterday. With the arrival of a group of three delightful Lady Pilgrims, the Inn sprang to life once more. Chambers to make ready, pantries to stock, and cleaning everywhere. It was very good to be busy, and help occupy my mind with simple task instead of the business of late.

This will be a long, but easy two weeks. With only three at the Inn my task will be easy, but with my journey to the unclaimed lands South of our fair Kingdom to follow the pilgrims departure... the time itself will slow.

It will be good to see old places with a young heart once more. Trips home are often so.
