Well... the tent only made it as far as the back porch. The Evil Housework had other plans for me this weekend. So, I washed clothes and washed the dishes, and washed the dog, made the beds, hauled more stuff to the storage unit and then washed myself. The only positive was after all of that I did go shopping... but I did not get to buy anything fun...only more work clothes to wash next weekend.

This weekend I think I am going to find a nice little place to camp. I feel the need to get away from people again. A weekend with nothing but nature and me will restore my inner peace that the day to day work world drains away.
I cut my hair yesterday and had more gray hiding under my longish locks than I remembered being there. The feelings of too many years of serving good ole ale has been with me all day.
Life is so short... no one ever reads a resume at the funeral.

The days of youth and folly are long over for myself. A new group of 10 pilgrims have arrived and are just starting their holy devotions. Among this group are a few that are new to this world with their eyes still wide with wonder. Their hearts still full of love and their souls full of life. There is no doubt they will enjoy the time here.

Ode to be new and young again. To live life like you know it is the best of times, to love with the passions of an unbroken soul, and to see the world from eyes wide with wonder again.

But, some things come with age and other things depart with age and we must find our pleasures along the way and between the two common points in all our lives...Birth and Death.

The Inn is really easy to find just follow the black smoke. By the way anyone know of another Inn needing a handy Innkeep?

It has been some time since I wrote about Jo-Jo the Squirrel Deity. Some think being a deity is all work, like making planets, creating life, purging the garden of Eden, striking the lowly down. Jo-Jo has a fun side too. Here he kicks back with a couple of beers.

Today I worked 12 hours to get the Inn ready for this wayward group of Pilgrims. The Ole Towne (place) was not sweet when I arrived this morning and the ale was only a step above muck when I left for the night. The goode ole staff has really let the Inn go and I know the owner will be none too pleased. I worked hard all day and into the night to make everything ready. Haft the supplies had gone bad from improper stores and many tables and beds were just broken. I travel about the village purchasing replacements for some item, but not all could be found. The most frustrating thing was that some of the broken items the staff knew about three moons ago and just did not care to find replacements. I will have to find a better way to safeguard the religious relics used by the pilgrims during their stay, when I am away.

Now off to bed with myself for tomorrow the pilgrims will demand my attention early in the morn.

So that explains why the pipes are an out-doors event! Might cause a fire in a small space!

Thanks for the warning. I will avoid standing downwind of the pipers from now on!

I always thought it was the haggis... my mistake.
